Atmospheric scenes of the Lake District and the Furness Peninsula brought to life by Lee Payne, a well known local painter who currently resides in Barrow. Lee has worked and excelled in most mediums, but his preferred medium is Oil paint.

He has exhibited with The Lakes Artists Society, The Ulverston Society of Artists and The Barrow Society of Artists.

He has tought at Dowdales School in Dalton, and frequently teaches a painting group in the Furness area.

Lee is currently working on a portfolio of Lake District paintings and further North, those of the Isle of Skye. His work often depicts landscapes of early morning and late evening, when the lighting is brief, yet at its most illuminating.
